'Scenes from Scotland/For G98'Click on the audio file and listen to 'Scenes from Scotland/For G98'. Jamie likes to explore the sound of traditional instrumentation with field recordings and electronics as in his piece ‘Scenes from Scotland/For G98’, where Peter Maxwell Davies’ ‘Farewell to Stromness’ for piano is augmented with, and given another layer of depth through, field recordings from the Caledonian Canal and light electronic processing to add additional colour. Jamie is moved by the connection to nature we can make through audio recordings of the environment.
